With the augmentation of innovation, advanced technologies and techniques such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), blockchain, hybrid or poly clouds, 5G, big data, DevSecOps, the wide adoption of open-source technologies, software-defined networks or software-defined everything, and the adoption of remote or borderless working, the recent technology landscape has been altered considerably. Cyber-attacks are not too far behind as they have also grown in scale and sophistication. The cyber-attack surface and threat vectors for enterprises have increased multifold. The losses incurred by companies are not just monetary. Reputational losses, customer outflows and network restoration can result in having larger consequences. It is definitely not surprising that cybersecurity has emerged as the #1 initiative in enterprise digital transformation.
